"Who ever says truffle, pronounces a great word, which awakens erotic and gourmand ideas both in the sex dressed in petticoats and in the bearded portion of humanity." J. A. Brillat-Savarin, 1825
The 7th Annual Oregon Truffle Festival will be held in and around Eugene Oregon over three brisk winter days from January 28-30, 2011. Created to celebrate the magnificent Oregon truffles as they reach the peak of ripeness in their native soil, it is the first festival of its kind in North America, dedicated to sharing the experience of the chefs, foragers and fans of Oregon's wild truffles, from their hidden source in the forest to their glory on the table.
Huge appreciation to everyone who participated in this year's festival. The food, the wine, the weather, the speakers, authors, chefs, the truffles, and most of all you, our guests, were just fabulous! We're already looking forward to 2012, and we welcome your feedback on anything we can do to make it even better than it was this year.
