Winery Luncheon Chef Saturday - Experience Three, The Culinarians

Patrick Warner, Chef
Scratch, Lake Oswego OR

Patrick Warner, Chef, ScratchPatrick Lee Warner spent his childhood in his friends’ kitchens in Los Angeles, learning to cook in a variety of ethnic styles. At age 5 he was making chicken soup from scratch. When he was 8 he could roll a tamale perfectly. By 13, he was gainfully employed in a commercial kitchen in a coastal Oregon town, but he still wasn’t sure food was his calling, so he tried out music and art. Sadly, Chef Warner cannot bear to sell his paintings, and a tour that included a broken down van mended with a fanbelt made from pantyhose was the final straw in his music career. Chef Warner gladly headed back to the kitchen at 19 and has not left it since.

Chef Warner spent his twenties cooking his way across the United States and learning tricks of the trade before returning to Portland to attend culinary school and get married. Chef Warner has two little girls, both of whom love to eat at his Lake Oswego restaurant, Scratch.
