Friday Cooking Class Chef - Experience Three Participants Only
Rocky Maselli, Executive Chef
Eugene, OR
Created for experienced home chefs who want to learn about cooking with Oregon truffles, Chef Maselli will present three dishes in our local culinary institute's professional teaching kitchen. This participatory class includes tastings as well as recipes designed for the home cook or budding chef.
Rocky Maselli, who was trained in restaurant and hotel management in San Francisco, has spent his life working in restaurants—from his family’s British Columbia marina restaurant to hotel and restaurant kitchens from San Francisco to Portland. He was at the helm at Eugene, Oregon's celebrated Marche when it opened in 1998, first as Chef de Cuisine and taking over as Executive Chef in 2004.
Chef Maselli has been recognized in the national press (Bon Appetit, W Magazine, Cigar Aficionado, the Discovery Channel), by the James Beard Foundation and Slow Food for his work with seasonal Northwest ingredients. In February 2010 he was invited to present Oregon truffles at Blackberry Farm, one of North America's most acclaimed resorts and culinary destinations.
